(2013) Nature Communications paper led to the creation of the sorghum SNP database called SorGSD: which is a valuable online web resource for bioinformatics research in cereal genetics. This work is part of a greater initiative to create treatments for hay fever sufferers who have specific immune responses to tropical allergens. 14/899,538 Johnson grass allergenic pollen proteins, encoding nucleic acids and methods of use J Davies, B Campbell. (2015) in JACI led to the sequencing of the total pollen transcriptome, proteome, and allergome of Johnson Grass a major sub-tropical allergen which led to the filing of a patent for future therapeutic use. The data generated from this project will be a key component to any breeding initiatives. The genotyping of the taro core collection (2020) held by SPC (The Pacific Community) is a linchpin project, central to the conservation of this important traditional crop.
